How the working day lines up with Ireland

Ireland is on GMT in winter and Irish Standard Time (UTC+1) in summer, while India stays on UTC+5:30 all year. The gap is therefore 5.5 hours in winter and 4.5 hours in summer. In practice that gives a dependable window from your morning until mid-afternoon, which is when we hold stand-ups, sprint reviews and pairing sessions.

The rest of the gap works in your favour. Work agreed in the morning is often built and reviewed by the time your team signs off, and a bug reported at the end of your day can be investigated before your next morning. We keep this predictable with written handovers, a shared board and named owners rather than relying on chat messages.

GDPR when your engineers are outside the EU

Ireland's Data Protection Commission is the lead GDPR supervisor for many international technology companies with European headquarters in Dublin, so Irish teams are rightly careful about personal data. India does not have an EU adequacy decision, which means any transfer of personal data to our engineers needs a lawful basis - typically Standard Contractual Clauses with a transfer risk assessment.

The simpler answer is usually to avoid the transfer altogether. We host production in an EU cloud region, give engineers anonymised or synthetic data for development and testing, and restrict any production access to audited, time-limited sessions. Where processing is unavoidable we sign a Data Processing Agreement and document the safeguards your DPO needs.

Accessibility and the European Accessibility Act

The European Accessibility Act has applied since June 2025 and covers many consumer-facing digital services, including e-commerce, banking and e-books, with Ireland implementing it through national regulations. If your product sells to consumers in the EU, accessibility is now a legal requirement rather than a nice-to-have.

Accessibility is planned in from the start, with WCAG 2.2 AA as the reference: semantic HTML, keyboard access, visible focus, sufficient contrast, labelled forms and screen-reader testing on key journeys. Existing products can start with an audit that ranks issues by user impact, so the most important fixes ship first. Whether a specific service is in scope is a question for your legal advisers; we make the engineering side straightforward.

Building from an Irish EU base for the UK and Europe

Ireland is the European base for many international technology, software and financial services companies, and Irish scale-ups often sell into the UK and continental Europe from their first year. That shapes the software: one product may need to serve EU customers under the EU GDPR and UK customers under the separate UK GDPR, handle euro and sterling pricing, and keep data in the right region for each customer contract.

We plan for this from the start with region-aware data storage, configurable currencies and VAT handling, and tenant settings that let a customer's data stay in the EU or the UK as agreed. Ireland shares its clock with the UK all year - both move between GMT and summer time on the same dates - so a team split between Dublin and London gets the same daily overlap with our developers. PixoBots works from offices in India and also has an office in Leicester in the UK.

Contracts are simple: we sign an NDA before kickoff, you own the code and IP, work is priced transparently against milestones, and the invoicing currency, usually euros, is agreed with you up front.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work with companies in Ireland? expand_more
Yes. PixoBots works with Irish businesses as a remote delivery team based in India. We do not have an Irish office or entity; collaboration runs over video calls and shared tools, with daily overlap in Irish working hours.
How do you handle GDPR when the team is in India? expand_more
We minimise transfers. Production data stays in an EU cloud region, engineers work with anonymised or synthetic data, and where a transfer is needed we use Standard Contractual Clauses and a Data Processing Agreement.
What hours will we overlap? expand_more
Typically from your morning until mid-afternoon. India is 4.5 hours ahead of Ireland in summer and 5.5 hours ahead in winter, so we schedule stand-ups and reviews inside that shared window.
Can you make our product accessible? expand_more
Yes. We design, build and fix against WCAG 2.2 AA criteria - the standard the European Accessibility Act points to - and can start with an audit of your existing product that ranks issues by user impact.
Can one team support our Irish and UK offices? expand_more
Yes. Ireland and the UK keep the same time all year, so colleagues in Dublin and London share the same overlap with our developers. We can also design the product to handle both EU GDPR and UK GDPR, euro and sterling pricing, and separate data regions where your contracts require it.
Who owns the code, and how is the work priced? expand_more
You own the code and IP, and we sign an NDA before kickoff. Pricing is transparent and milestone-based, with the invoicing currency agreed up front, and we reply to every inquiry within 24 hours.
