Working with Dutch teams from India

Most Dutch tech teams already work in English, and many have engineers of several nationalities, so adding a remote team is a familiar setup rather than a cultural leap. We match the Dutch preference for direct, written communication: clear estimates, early warnings when something is at risk, and decisions recorded where everyone can find them.

The Netherlands runs on CET (UTC+1) in winter and CEST (UTC+2) in summer, so India is 4.5 hours ahead in winter and 3.5 hours ahead in summer. That leaves a solid shared block from your morning into the early afternoon for stand-ups, refinement and demos, and it means a fix requested over lunch is often ready for testing before the end of your day.

Software for logistics, fintech and e-commerce

The Dutch economy leans heavily on moving goods and money. With the Port of Rotterdam and Schiphol at its core, the logistics sector depends on warehouse management, transport planning, track-and-trace and EDI integrations with carriers and customs brokers. We build and modernise these systems, and connect them to the ERPs and partner platforms already in place.

For payments and online retail, Dutch customers expect iDEAL alongside cards and wallets, fast checkout and accurate stock across channels. We integrate payment service providers rather than reinventing them, and we build the order, inventory and customer systems behind the storefront. Dutch-language interfaces are supported through proper localisation; final Dutch copy should come from native speakers on your side.

GDPR and keeping data in the EU

The Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) enforces GDPR actively, and India does not have an EU adequacy decision. Our default is therefore to avoid moving personal data at all: production stays in an EU cloud region, engineers develop and test against anonymised or synthetic data, and any production access is time-limited and logged.

Where processing by our team cannot be avoided, we sign a Data Processing Agreement and use Standard Contractual Clauses, and give your privacy officer the documentation they need. If your services are consumer-facing, accessibility matters too: we design and test against WCAG 2.2 AA criteria, which helps you prepare for the European Accessibility Act - whether a service is in scope is a question for your legal advisers.

AI features and the EU AI Act

Dutch companies adding AI to their products - a support chatbot, document classification, demand forecasting for a warehouse - now build under the EU AI Act as well as GDPR. The Act takes a risk-based approach: a small set of practices is prohibited, systems used in sensitive areas such as recruitment, creditworthiness or access to essential services are treated as high-risk with obligations on data quality, documentation, logging and human oversight, and systems such as chatbots and generated content carry transparency duties. Its obligations phase in over several years, and the Dutch regulators are still setting out how they will supervise it.

Classifying your use case is a job for your legal and compliance advisers, but the engineering choices made early decide how hard compliance will be later. We tell users when they are talking to an AI, log model inputs and outputs where that is appropriate, keep a human in the loop for consequential decisions, version prompts and models so behaviour can be traced, and keep personal data out of prompts unless there is a clear basis for it. That gives your compliance team something concrete to assess instead of a black box.

Contracts, IP and invoicing

We sign an NDA before kickoff and you own the code and IP from the first commit. Work is priced transparently against milestones, the invoicing currency (for example euros) is agreed with you up front, and contracts and documentation in English. We reply to every inquiry within 24 hours.

Pixel & Bots

PixoBots stands for Pixel & Bots. Our Bots are dedicated developers who work with AI tools: AI takes the repetitive work, a developer reviews every line, and the result is pixel-perfect.

Pixel

Polished UI and clean, tested code - detail is part of the job, not an afterthought.

Bots

Dedicated developers who join your team and use AI for boilerplate, tests and documentation.

Savings

AI-assisted delivery can save more than 50% of development cost compared with traditional development.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work with companies in the Netherlands? expand_more
Yes. PixoBots works with Dutch businesses as a remote delivery team based in India. We do not have a Dutch office or entity; collaboration runs over video calls and shared tools, in English, with daily overlap in CET working hours.
What is the time difference with the Netherlands? expand_more
India is 3.5 hours ahead of the Netherlands in summer and 4.5 hours ahead in winter. We hold stand-ups and reviews in the shared window from your morning into the early afternoon.
Can you integrate iDEAL and Dutch payment providers? expand_more
Yes. We integrate iDEAL and other payment methods through established payment service providers, so you get familiar Dutch checkout options without handling card data yourself.
How do you comply with GDPR from outside the EU? expand_more
We keep personal data in an EU region and give engineers anonymised data. Where a transfer is unavoidable we use Standard Contractual Clauses and a Data Processing Agreement.
Can you build AI features that work under the EU AI Act? expand_more
We build AI features with transparency, logging, human oversight and traceable model and prompt versions, which are the engineering foundations the EU AI Act expects. Whether your use case is high-risk, and what that requires, should be confirmed by your legal advisers.
Do we need Dutch speakers on the team? expand_more
Usually not. Collaboration, code, tickets and documentation run in English, which most Dutch tech teams already use day to day. For Dutch-language interfaces we handle the localisation engineering, and final Dutch copy is best written or reviewed by native speakers on your side.
