Working with German teams from India

German engineering teams value precision: a clear specification, an honest estimate, and early notice when something is at risk. We work the same way. Requirements are written down and confirmed, estimates come with their assumptions, and decisions are recorded in your ticket system so nothing depends on memory. Collaboration, code, tickets and documentation run in English, which most German tech teams already use alongside German.

Germany runs on CET (UTC+1) in winter and CEST (UTC+2) in summer, so India is 4.5 hours ahead in winter and 3.5 hours ahead in summer. That gives a solid shared block from your morning into the early afternoon for stand-ups, refinement and demos. A fix requested before lunch is often ready for testing before the end of your working day.

Software for manufacturers and the Mittelstand

Much of German industry is made up of family-owned and mid-sized manufacturers, suppliers and distributors - the Mittelstand. Their software problems are usually integration problems: an ERP such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or proAlpha at the centre, with a manufacturing execution system, warehouse software, a customer portal and Excel reports around it. We build the custom pieces in between: APIs and middleware, B2B ordering and service portals, production and quality dashboards, and data pipelines that bring machine and ERP data together.

For SAP landscapes we work at the integration layer - REST and OData APIs, IDoc and file interfaces, and event-driven connectors - so new applications read and write the data they need without custom changes inside the ERP core. For Industrie 4.0 projects we connect shop-floor data through standard protocols such as OPC UA and MQTT, and build the dashboards and alerts that operations teams actually use.

GDPR, the BDSG and keeping data in the EU

In Germany, GDPR is supplemented by the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), and supervision is split between the Federal Commissioner (BfDI) and a data protection authority in each federal state. India does not have an EU adequacy decision, so our default is to avoid moving personal data at all: production stays in an EU cloud region (AWS, Azure and Google Cloud all run regions in Frankfurt), engineers develop and test against anonymised or synthetic data, and any production access is time-limited and logged.

Where processing by our team cannot be avoided, we sign a data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR - the Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag (AVV) your data protection officer will ask for - together with Standard Contractual Clauses, and provide the technical and organisational measures (TOMs) documentation they need. This is general information, not legal advice: your data protection officer or legal adviser should confirm what your project requires.

Works councils, e-invoicing and accessibility

Three German rules often shape a software project. First, if a system can monitor the behaviour or performance of employees - time tracking, a shop-floor app with user logins, analytics on internal tools - the works council (Betriebsrat) has co-determination rights under the Works Constitution Act. We design role-based access, data minimisation and clear audit logs, and document what the system records, so that conversation goes quickly.

Second, Germany is moving B2B invoicing to structured e-invoices: businesses must be able to receive them from 2025, and the obligation to issue them phases in from 2027. We build integrations that generate, validate and read XRechnung and ZUGFeRD (EN 16931) invoices and connect them to your ERP or accounting system. Third, the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG), Germany's implementation of the European Accessibility Act, has applied to many consumer-facing digital products and services since June 2025. We design and test against WCAG 2.2 AA criteria. Whether these rules apply to your business is a question for your tax and legal advisers.

Contracts, IP and invoicing

We sign an NDA before kickoff and you own the code and IP from the first commit. Work is priced transparently against milestones, invoiced in euros if you prefer, and contracts and documentation are in English. How a dedicated-team engagement is structured matters in Germany - a services contract for delivered work is assessed differently from placing individual workers under your direction - so have your legal adviser review the contract model. We reply to every inquiry within 24 hours.

Pixel & Bots

Pixel-perfect software, delivered at AI speed

PixoBots stands for Pixel & Bots. Our Bots are dedicated developers who work with AI tools: AI takes the repetitive work, a developer reviews every line, and the result is pixel-perfect.

Pixel

Polished UI and clean, tested code - detail is part of the job, not an afterthought.

Bots

Dedicated developers who join your team and use AI for boilerplate, tests and documentation.

Savings

AI-assisted delivery can save more than 50% of development cost compared with traditional development.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work with companies in Germany? expand_more
Yes. PixoBots works with German businesses as a remote delivery team based in India. We do not have a German office or entity; collaboration runs over video calls and shared tools, in English, with daily overlap in CET working hours.
What is the time difference with Germany? expand_more
India is 3.5 hours ahead of Germany in summer and 4.5 hours ahead in winter. We hold stand-ups, refinement and reviews in the shared window from your morning into the early afternoon.
How do you handle GDPR and the BDSG from outside the EU? expand_more
We keep personal data in an EU cloud region, such as Frankfurt, and give engineers anonymised data. Where processing by our team is unavoidable, we sign an AVV (Article 28 data processing agreement) with Standard Contractual Clauses.
Can you integrate with SAP and other ERP systems? expand_more
Yes. We build applications, portals and middleware that connect to SAP and other ERPs through their APIs, IDocs or file interfaces, so data flows both ways without custom changes inside the ERP core.
Can you build XRechnung and ZUGFeRD e-invoicing? expand_more
Yes. We build integrations that create, validate and import XRechnung and ZUGFeRD invoices and connect them to your ERP or accounting software. Your tax adviser should confirm which obligations apply to your business and when.
Do we need German speakers on the team? expand_more
Usually not. Collaboration, code, tickets and documentation run in English, which most German tech teams already use. For German-language interfaces we handle the localisation engineering, and final German copy is best written or reviewed by native speakers on your side.
