Pixel & Bots

AI-Augmented Software Development

PixoBots stands for Pixel & Bots: pixel-perfect work, delivered by our Bots - dedicated developers who work with AI tools. AI takes the repetitive parts of software development, your developer reviews every line and owns the quality, and your project ships sooner. AI-assisted delivery can save more than 50% of software development cost compared with traditional development.

What we deliver

Pixel

Polished UI that matches the design to the pixel, and clean, readable, tested code underneath it. Detail is part of the job, not an afterthought.

Bots

Our Bots are people: dedicated developers who join your team, work in your tools and repositories, and use AI to move faster on the work that does not need judgement.

Speed

Scaffolding, CRUD screens, test suites, data mappings and documentation that once took days are drafted in hours, then reviewed and refined by the developer.

Savings

Fewer hours spent on repetitive work means a lower bill. AI-assisted delivery can save more than 50% of development cost compared with traditional development.

What AI-augmented development actually means

AI-augmented development is ordinary professional software engineering with AI tools built into every step. The developer still designs the solution, makes the architectural decisions, writes the difficult logic and answers for the result. What changes is the volume of routine work they have to type by hand: AI coding assistants draft boilerplate, suggest implementations, generate tests and explain unfamiliar code, and the developer accepts, corrects or rejects each suggestion.

It is not the same as asking a chatbot to build an app. Code generated without an engineer who understands the system tends to look plausible and fail in production - missing edge cases, insecure defaults, duplicated logic and no tests. Our model keeps a skilled developer in charge, which is why we call them Bots: they work at machine speed on the repetitive parts and with human judgement on everything else.

Where the time and cost savings come from

Most software projects contain a large share of predictable work: setting up projects and pipelines, building forms and list screens, mapping data between systems, writing unit tests, producing API documentation, and migrating code from one framework version to another. This is exactly the work AI tools are good at drafting, and it is where most of the saving comes from.

Savings also come from fewer delays. AI helps a developer understand an unfamiliar codebase quickly, write a migration script in minutes, or produce a first test suite for legacy code before changing it. Shorter feedback loops mean fewer billable hours, and with milestone-based pricing you see exactly what each stage costs. That is how AI-assisted delivery can save more than 50% of software development cost compared with traditional development.

When the savings are smaller - and we will say so

Not every task speeds up equally. Novel algorithms, research-heavy work, complex domain rules that live only in people's heads, tightly regulated changes that need extensive sign-off, and very old systems with no documentation or tests all depend more on human analysis than on typing speed. On work like this AI still helps, but the gain is smaller.

We estimate each project on its actual mix of work, not on a headline figure. During scoping we tell you which parts benefit most from AI-assisted delivery and which do not, so the estimate you receive is one you can plan around.

Quality: every line reviewed by a developer

AI suggestions are treated like code from a fast junior colleague: useful, but never merged unread. Every AI-assisted change is reviewed by the developer who owns it, covered by tests, checked by automated linting and security scanning in the pipeline, and reviewed again through a normal pull request before it reaches your main branch.

This is the Pixel half of the name. Faster delivery is only worth having if the result is maintainable, so we hold AI-assisted code to the same standards as hand-written code - naming, structure, error handling, accessibility and performance included.

Security, confidentiality and IP

Your code and data are handled under an NDA signed before kickoff, and you own the code and IP we write for you. AI tools are used in line with your policies: if your organisation approves specific tools, requires business-tier tools that do not train on your code, or rules out AI on certain repositories altogether, we work that way.

Secrets, credentials and personal data are never pasted into AI prompts. Where a project handles regulated data, we agree up front which tools may be used and how, and record it in the project setup.

How hiring an AI-augmented developer works

Tell us about your project, stack and timeline, and we reply within 24 hours. We propose the developer or team that fits, you interview them, and work is planned in milestones with a transparent price for each. Your developer joins your communication channels and repositories, and you see working software at every milestone rather than only at the end.

You can hire a single dedicated developer to extend your team, a full team to own a product, or a milestone-priced project with an agreed scope. See the engagement models for how each one works.

Frequently asked questions

What is AI-augmented software development? expand_more
It is software development by experienced developers who use AI tools throughout their work - for scaffolding, boilerplate, tests, documentation and code review. The developer stays in charge of design and quality and reviews every line; AI removes the repetitive typing so the project ships sooner.
How much can AI-augmented development save? expand_more
AI-assisted delivery can save more than 50% of software development cost compared with traditional development. The exact saving depends on the mix of work: projects with many forms, integrations, tests and migrations save the most, while research-heavy or highly regulated work saves less. We show you the expected saving for your project during scoping.
What does PixoBots stand for? expand_more
PixoBots stands for Pixel & Bots. Pixel is our commitment to pixel-perfect UI and clean, tested code. Bots are our dedicated developers, who work with AI tools to deliver faster.
Are your Bots real developers? expand_more
Yes. Our Bots are people - dedicated developers who join your team and own the quality of their work. AI tools make them faster; they do not replace the developer's judgement, review or accountability.
Does AI-generated code reduce quality? expand_more
Not when it is reviewed properly. Every AI-assisted change is reviewed by the developer, covered by tests, scanned in the CI pipeline and reviewed again in a pull request, to the same standard as hand-written code.
Is our code safe when AI tools are used? expand_more
Yes. Work is covered by an NDA signed before kickoff, you own the code and IP, secrets and personal data are never put into prompts, and we use only the AI tools your policies allow - including no AI at all on repositories you exclude.
