Working with Swedish teams from India
Swedish tech teams tend to be flat and consensus-driven: engineers are expected to question a decision, propose alternatives and own outcomes rather than wait for instructions. Our developers work the same way inside your squads. They raise risks early, explain trade-offs in writing, and take part in refinement and retrospectives instead of simply receiving tickets. English is the everyday working language of most Swedish tech companies, so collaboration needs no translation layer.
Sweden runs on CET (UTC+1) in winter and CEST (UTC+2) in summer, so India is 4.5 hours ahead in winter and 3.5 hours ahead in summer. That gives a solid shared block from your morning into the early afternoon for stand-ups and reviews, and work continues while your team is offline - which also suits teams that protect their evenings and holidays.
Software for SaaS, fintech and digital services
Stockholm is one of Europe's most active start-up and fintech hubs, and Swedish companies are often early adopters of digital services. We build and extend SaaS products, consumer and B2B apps, payment and lending flows, and the internal platforms behind them, typically joining an existing product team to add capacity on a roadmap rather than starting from a blank page.
Swedish users expect certain integrations as standard. BankID is the default way to log in and sign, Swish is the everyday mobile payment method, and many checkouts offer invoice and instalment options alongside cards. We integrate these through their official providers and APIs. For public-sector customers, e-invoices are mandatory and usually sent over the Peppol network in the Peppol BIS Billing 3 format, which we build into invoicing and ERP integrations.
GDPR, personal identity numbers and keeping data in the EU
Sweden's data protection authority, IMY (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten), supervises GDPR together with Sweden's supplementary data protection act. Swedish systems often handle the personal identity number (personnummer), which Swedish law allows to be processed without consent only when that is clearly justified, so we design to minimise and mask it rather than use it as a convenient key. India does not have an EU adequacy decision, so by default production stays in an EU cloud region, including cloud regions located in Sweden such as AWS Stockholm and Azure Sweden Central, and engineers work with anonymised or synthetic data.
Where processing by our team cannot be avoided, we sign a data processing agreement with Standard Contractual Clauses and give your data protection officer the documentation they need. For consumer-facing services, Sweden's implementation of the European Accessibility Act has applied since June 2025; we design and test against WCAG 2.2 AA criteria. Whether a rule applies to your service is a question for your legal advisers.
Norway, Denmark and Finland
Nordic companies often launch in several markets at once, and the details differ. Norway has its own BankID and Vipps, Denmark uses MitID for identification and MobilePay for payments, and Finland relies on bank-based identification. We build integrations through providers that cover the region, so one product can support each country's expected login and payment methods. Norway is outside the EU but applies GDPR through the EEA Agreement.
Contracts, IP and invoicing
We sign an NDA before kickoff and you own the code and IP from the first commit. Work is priced transparently against milestones, invoiced in SEK or euros if you prefer, and contracts and documentation are in English. We reply to every inquiry within 24 hours.
